Privacy and retention

to-pdf.com performs PDF conversion in the browser. The service still uses lightweight quota and telemetry systems so the site can stay reliable on the free Cloudflare stack.

Conversion data

  • Document contents are converted in the browser and are not uploaded for server-side PDF generation.
  • to-pdf.com does not keep a persistent file vault or user document history.
  • Monitoring payloads do not include file names, document titles, raw contents, or rendered PDFs.

Daily quota

The site uses a pseudonymous daily usage key derived from IP address and user agent to enforce the free conversion limit. The key is stored with a day stamp and usage count only.

Analytics and monitoring

  • Cloudflare Web Analytics is used for aggregate traffic reporting.
  • Custom telemetry records only event type, tool, route, locale, file-size bucket, coarse duration bucket, engagement kind, referrer host, same-site referrer path, country, and coarse error code.
  • Error telemetry is used to understand conversion failures and keep the service stable.

Retention and legal basis

Quota records and telemetry are retained only for operational reporting and abuse prevention. The site relies on legitimate interests for these limited operational data flows.

Data processors

to-pdf.com uses Cloudflare for hosting, traffic analytics, D1 quota storage, and Analytics Engine event storage.

Your choices

If you do not want quota or telemetry processing, do not use the hosted service. Questions about privacy requests should be handled through the site operator.
